Mobility is extremely important in any sport, especially CrossFit. Everyday we do functional movements that require some form of mobility. Adding mobility is extremely important to add into our everyday routine. Now, I don’t mean only adding  5-10 minutes before and after class, but actually spend time on sticking points. Having strength is a great component, but being able to have strength in the correct positions is even more important. The more strength you have in correlation with mobility allows us athletes to work on speed and endurance of the movement correctly.

Mobility is one of our most limiting factors for movements and its one of the biggest factors in preventing injury. Having mobility to bealbe to hold the bar in front rack position allows us to release tension on our shoulders. Locking out in an overhead position helps us from falling forward. Have that deep squat gives us that extra oomph because we all know pausing at 0 degrees is difficult. The list can go on and on.

So come sign up! The clinic will help work on mobility in the shoulders, spine, hips, and knees. We will be using YTU Therapy Balls to work on the myofascial release. Its a great opportunity to learn some little helpful tricks that you can do at home or on your break at the office.
